The Chef

A series painting, the first of four.

I’ve always been fascinated by the hospitality trade, particularly restaurants. I wanted to capture the bustle and organised chaos of a busy kitchen. The focus of course is the chef – a combination of leader, mentor, director and – when necessary – dictator.

This led me to embark upon a series of links in the chain:
