Art in all its guises, has been central to my life. So this is a way to share thoughts, passions, ideas and experiences.

A love of drawing, painting and artistic expression is a great gift – whether it’s visiting galleries, viewing artwork, learning or getting messy diving in and creating.

I was fortunate in that my first degree was in art and design – in the days when we received grants to help fund our studying.

Although I moved on and enjoyed a career in design, advertising and marketing, art has been the thread sewing everything together.

At one time I ran my own art classes which was perhaps the most rewarding application of my learning and skills. To work with somebody and see their imagination and creativity blossom into confident, expressive execution is amazing.

And let me let you into a secret – anybody can do it!
