The Guvn’r

One of  another series. This time the subject is ‘The Pub’, so, where better to start than with the pub landlord, mine host, ‘The Guvn’r’.

As much as anything I wanted to capture the cosy, friendly atmosphere of of a social place that’s in danger of disappearing. At its heart heart is the landlord – inn keeper of the public house, around which everything happens.

The lighting is warm and golden rather than the fluorescent glow of the modern designer establishment.
